Activities

With the goal of promoting the topic as well as introducing the wider scientific community to various aspects of research within MetaKol, we organize a wide variety of activities to which all interested parties are invited. Access to online activities is free of charge.

Presentation by Stanislava-Staša Tofoska, Mihaela Matešić and Aneta Stojić has been held at the 50th international scientific conference on Macedonian language, literature and culture in educational setting. The conference took place in Ohrid (Macedonia) from 1st - 3rd September 2023. The title of the presentation was "Lexical collocations with a noun chance in Croatian and Macedonian language - semantic and pragmatic analysis".

Presentation by Aneta Stojić and Mihaela Matešić has been held at the Slavic Cognitive Linguistics Conference 2023, at Harvard University (Boston, Massachusetts, USA). The title of the presentation was: Metaphorical potential of lexical collocation: the case of the noun prilika.

Jana Jurčević presented her research paper at the 37th international scientific conference of the Croatian Society for Applied Linguistics, which took place in Osijek from 15-17 June 2023. The title of the presentation was Lexical Synaesthesia in Metaphorical Collocations: Cross-modal Mappings of Gustatory Adjectives.

Invitation to the plenary talk by prof. PhD Christine Konecny ​​– The multifaceted nature of collocations. The lecture will be held on May 30, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., as part of International scientific conference EUROPHRAS, at the University of Milan (Italy).

Iva Barić and Ana Keglević Blažević presented their research paper at the 36th international scientific conference of the Croatian Society for Applied Linguistics, which took place in Osijek from 9-11 June 2022. The title of the presentation was Semantička obrada metaforičkih kolokacija pomoću korpusnolingvističkih alata.
